What we currently do

Long Bright Life does not sell personal information, and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are used in California and in other US state privacy laws. We run no advertising, no marketing pixels, no affiliate tracking and no analytics, and we transfer no reader data to advertising partners.

We are not claiming to be exempt from privacy law. These rights and this control apply to us, and the opt-out below is real and effective — it is simply the case that, today, there is no sale or sharing for it to stop.

Your control

The advertising and marketing category covers every technology that could involve a sale or sharing of personal information. Turning it off here keeps it off, and nothing in that category will ever load for you. Your choice is stored on this device; if you use several browsers or devices, please set it on each.

Global Privacy Control

We recognise the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or an extension sends GPC, we treat it as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing: the advertising and marketing category stays off, and “Accept all” will not switch it on. Only a deliberate change by you in the preference centre can. See our cookie policy for how this is implemented.

Authorised agents and other requests

A monitored privacy contact route will be published on our contact pagebefore the site opens to readers. We will not publish an address that nobody is reading. Until then, the opt-out control above and your browser’s cookie controls give you complete control over the only data we hold on your device.

No discrimination

Exercising any privacy right changes nothing about what you can read here. The whole site remains fully available.
