Advertising policy
Last updated: 14 August 2026
What we would and would not accept, and what runs on the site today.
Current position
No advertising, sponsorship or paid placement runs on Long Bright Life today. There are no ad networks, ad tags, marketing pixels or sponsored posts on this site.
Separation of advertising and editorial
- Advertisers have no influence over what we publish, no advance sight of content, and no right of approval or veto.
- Advertising will always be visually distinct from editorial content and clearly labelled.
- Sponsored or paid content, if ever published, will be labelled as such at the top of the page and excluded from editorial rankings and recommendations.
- We will not accept advertising that is designed to be mistaken for editorial.
What we would not accept
- Advertising making health claims that the evidence does not support.
- Advertising for unapproved or misrepresented medical treatments.
- Advertising that targets a health condition inferred about an individual reader.
- Advertising that uses fear, shame or body-image pressure to sell.
- Advertising placed on the basis of sensitive personal data.
Privacy
If advertising is introduced, any technology it relies on will sit behind the advertising and marketing consent category and will be documented in the cookie policybefore it goes live. You will always be able to refuse it and to change your mind later through “Manage cookie preferences” in the footer or via Do not sell or share my personal information.
